I saw Zero Dark Thirty today. It was good and educational - if accurate. I think the controversy about it is overrated. I saw no secrets revealed in the movie. Other than learning that it was the determination of one person that kept this hunt alive, I didn't learn anything I didn't already know or suspect. Apparently, we always had someone looking for bin Laden. It just took that long to track him down.

The torture scenes were mostly humiliation, some beatings, and water boarding, all happening under the Bush regime, all of which we already knew about.

Argo, I think, was more suspenseful, keeping one more on the edge of his seat. The only particularly intense scenes took place during the attack on bin Laden's compound. It wasn't, in my opinion, an Academy awards best movie. Of the ones I've seen, I'd probably give that to Lincoln.
