This is the George Lucas Movie about the Tuskegee airmen who flew in WW2.
A very good thing about this movie is the flying and fight scenes. If you ever saw a WW2 bomber or fighter movie and loved the dogfights, this movie has some of the best air action I've ever seen.
It is a WW2 fighter movie. The movie itself tries too hard to be all things a WW2 movie should be and still be about the Tuskegee pilots.
But don't let that stop you from watching.
It is history and it's true to history.
Right now it is on HBO.

How would you rate "Red Tails" against "The Tuskegee Airmen" 1995
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114745/
When are they going to do a film about "The Jewish Battalion"?

I wear my heart on my sleeves for dogs and aviation. The movie was worth it for the flying scenes. I just rolled my eyes thru the parts about the Italian love interest and squadron goofus.

I agree. The flight scenes are great. The rest of the plot, not to good but just ignore that for the airships and fighter planes.

Okay, I am going to declare what others refuse to do.
Tuskegee Airmen was the better and more realistic flick.
They use old gun film from the pilots planes to show some hits.
Less CGI of course. And mentioning the personal interest Eleanor Roosevelt took in getting the Tuskegee Airmen to war.
I do not believe knocking out the M.E.'s was as quickly understood and done as they would have us believe in Red Tails.
I don't remember M.E.'s in Tuskegee Airmen. Did it happen?
Don't no one remember Tuskegee Airmen (1995)?
Moi
Maybe all who saw it were too

stoned in 1995 and therefore do not remember
Yeah, that's the ticket. Duh-Uh
mean replies are just cheap shots, don'tchyaknow.

I looked into my available movies list and didn't find it.
I'll need to set aside the time to watch it online.
