Rise of the Guardians.

In which Santa, Jack Frost, the Easter Bunny, and the Sandman go to war against Fear, who is "killing" the world's children.

This movie, as I see it, is just sick. Are they so out of ideas that they have to send Santa and co. to war? At Christmas?

And this:

Santa - Nikita Kruschev

Jack Frost - Draco Malfoy

Sandman - a mutant Teletubby

Easter Bunny - a demon kangaroo

Tooth Fairy - Tinkerbell after flying through Fukishima

I mean, damn, this trailer is like watching a horror flick. No way in hell am I taking a 4 year old to see this.

Or myself, for that matter!

Oh, and just to add to the blasphemy, "A Christmas Story 2"? WTF?!

At least this travesty is straight to DVD. Wow. I mean, is the original cast all dead?

They could have played the parents, at least.

Damn...what's next, Justin Bieber remakes "The Nutcracker"?

Don't answer that.

I don't know. I rather fancy the idea of Justin in a pink tutu, "en pointe," dancing the role of the Sugar plum Fairy." He is so pretty it's a waste he isn't trans. (Or at least he doesn't admit it.)

ps. I hope everyone has seen the site "Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber."

Biber's going to be like Frodo (What's his name again? ? ?

Elijah Wood, that's his other name...

who had to grow a scruffy beard and play a gun-toting gangster rapist in a movie to shed his goodie-two-shoes image (think training bra and panties in red sparkly shoes with silver bows, and pouty lips and oh never mind, I"m getting carried away)...

Now back to the Christmas theme...

The worst I Time I ever had in a Christmas movie was the MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL where the entire theater made it through the drenching of schmalz and saccharine goodness of three spirits without crying ... (even the children who out numbered adults by 4 to 1) until the very end when the Muppets SANG. They the flood gates opened and every kid in the theater cried for Tiny Frog or whatever puppet too the place of Tiny Tim and the Niagara burst onto the already salty popcorn ridden floor of the theater. It was a blubbering nightmare, soggy, snot laden tissues were everywhere.

I'm also wondering if they'll be another Christmas movie this season with the name "The Christmas __________".

Insert a noun for the blank.

This theme has been done to death.

I think the only one that has really worked, and very few have seen, is the old version of "A Christmas Memory" with Donnie Melvin and Geraldine Paige. Yeah, they tried to remake, it, too. I am sure that Truman Capote rolled over in his grave on that one. It was hideous beyond words.

You want to know about a Christmas movie that it making me sick?

How about this abomination? "A Christmas Story 2." Yes, it is real, yes they did actually make it, and yes, it is a cash-in direct-to-video sequel of one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time, almost 30 years after the original came out.
