Free month's supply of testosterone - w/ prescription

Eli Lilly has a new testosterone product out called "Axiron" which you apply to your armpits. They're giving away a voucher for a free months supply. Check it out: http://voucher.axiron.com/

sounds good unless you are on medicare like me. Under medicare you need to sign up for a drug plan. Under the rules of the drug plan you are not allowed any discounts like these. I was getting a pretty good discount on my testim from testim until I started medicare then the pharmacy said sorry no more discounts except what the drug insurance gets you. I can't even get my gas points for prescription at Krogers like before. It figures that a plan developed by Republicans when Bush was President would some how rip off the people who need help the most. (see doughnut hole in drug plan as well).

Man that stinks, I would never have thought that that could happen. What to do?

Next month when I see my doc at the VA I am going to ask him about the patch, something to give me a little energy or a little more than I have, see if it will help getting some of the weight off.

baldwin92,

I do not think there is any rule in medicare part D that says you MUST use

the drug insurance. If you get a prescription and take it to a drugstore at

which you do not have and do not use a medicare account you are welcome

to any discount you get.

The republicans would never make a rule that prevented you from choosing

a non-participating provider.

Even if it were the intent of part D to prevent you, there is no chance that

they will ever check. Congress prevents medicare from detecting fraud by

insuring that they do not have funds to hire extra workers.

I was on patches once...they SUCKED! The adhesive stays on after you remove the patch, and the skin that was touching the patch was quite red and irritated. I'd go with the gel or injection (which allows you to really control the amount you use).
