This has to be one of the silliest black comedies I've seen.
Dumb, stupid funny and good for laughs.
Completely silly fun, adult fun about getting even with a horrible boss.

Sounds like my kind of movie, I will try to rent it the next time I go to Hastings.
Do we have a thread here for the movie "Machete?"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0985694/
It is clearly one of the best movies of the last 50 years, totally realistic and believable... especially the part where they put a six-barrelled mini-gun on a motorcycle's handlebars. "Machete" is worth renting.

I didn't like it myself (watched it earlier). Then I don't like most modern comedies it seems...didn't like The Hangover or Bridesmaids either. I just finished Moneyball and really enjoyed it.

Well Wolf-Pup, we agree on one thing, the movie "The Hangover" just SUCKED, totally SUCKED. Never saw "Bridesmaids."

Yes, but it was funny.
That's the way I felt about HORRIBLE BOSSES.
The situation is contrived and the characters lack common sense and brains but they do slapstick and stupidly funny things.
As a society and as a whole peoples, we do laugh at stupid.
That's all it is. Laughing at stupid. It feeds a whole 30 minute comedy series industry on TV and makes for movies like "HORRIBLE BOSSES."
(PS - you should start a Robert Rodriquez thread. He makes a older style of movie that is worthy of comment).

I think I once worked for Kevin Spacey's Horrible Boss. Anyone with an office career should be able to relate.
This has been a good year for Spacey fans. Probably very few people saw Margin Call, which I loved. It's about the financial melt-down at a Lehman-like firm. Spacy plays an old-school good guy. A cast of top notch character actors makes the film an unending treat - Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Stanley Tucci, etc. Well worth renting, if the human drama behind a Wall Street bank in crisis could move you.

I don't know which is worse -- the bully boss like Kevin Spacey played or the ass-kissing weasel boss who backstabs his own employees...

" I can relate! It's like being a connoisseur of fine cheese or vintage wine, isn't it? The many varieties of Horrible Boss.
