The Hunger Games

A few years ago, one of my regular websites (Evil Editor http://www.evileditor.blogspot.com/) picked a strange "young adult" book titled "THE HUNGER GAMES for a book discussion (http://evileditorsgallimaufry.blogspot. ... unger.html).
Well I read the book and just about went nuts.
In short - In a future dystopic world, children are being offered as contestants for "to the death" sports that are televised for the country and the winner (the one who lives) is rewarded with food for his/her village and some prosperity.
Death-sports for teens? Surely not, I said.
I couldn't believe my eyes and the words.
Teens loved this book.
The trilogy became a big, best seller and is now a movie. I can't wait to see it.
They predict a huge opening weekend coming up (MARCH 23rd)
