Contagion.

A movie that starts out mundane and then people start to die of something vaguely flu-like.

Very well done and very scary. Scientifically correct in its portrayal of pandemic. Details are important in the plot. Names of people and places and who did what makes a difference between life and death.

You will never look at a cold the same way again. Creepy that way.

I liked how it developed, but it seemed to meander towards the end. It just seemed to end up going nowhere. Like someone wrote half this thing, and then tied a bow around it and called it good.

I'm really looking forward to the Wolrd War Z film -- now that should be a really cool contagion flick, if they stick the book real close. And, hey, Brad Pitt.

I had to watch CONTAGION a second time to catch all the storyline and piece it together from Day One and Patient Zero. The audience sees all of the story but non-linearly and without exposition. I really did expect a different story, one where the Matt Damon character would have more to do with the solution of the disaster. I didn't expect how many principle actors died. The Jude Law character was a little too evil and too cold-hearted.

I gave the book "World War Z" as a gift Christmas 2010 without reading it. I will happily seek out the movie when it is released but that is only because of THE WALKING DEAD and not the hype surrounding the novel.

People should understand that CONTAGION isn't a zombie film. The disease only kills one out of four -- 25% of the healthy who get infected. Of course that depends on the health of the victim. A disease like this is one of he great fears of public health. H1N1 is one of these diseases and guess what is scary about that -- the birds we see every day are creating that virus, just for us, in real time. Now that's the real scare of the movie. That's the brain-numbing, heart and soul-sucking idea that inspires the movie.

Best epidemic movie i've ever seen. Realistic. You didn't have the whole world dying within days. It was one of the best movies I'd seen. the R number thing (or was it n number?) was a great inclusion. It's one of those rare movies that is educational. It also takes a good look at a lot of social aspects less touched upon by other epidemic movies.
