Just Curious...

Gee, I've been trying everything to correct the post title to "Curious" but can't find the place to do it. Aaaanyway...
I noticed while perusing these forums that wannaby Eunuchs are vary scared to go to the ER. Guys are willing to travel to distant countries in order to get their operations doen. WHY?
What is it about the ER that is so frightning? You CAN have your castration or Penectomy done at your local hospital IF you can get past this ER fear. WHAT are they going to do to you. Put you in jail? Surely a shrink will give you a visit but I'm sure, like in my case, he'll soon discover the you're same with a desire to be a Eunuch.
Docs won't cut off healthy parts, but they will do it with damaged parts. They won't redicle you. They will help you. They won't tell the press (Doctor - patient confidentiality). If you find a good reason for the damaged part, your medical insurance will most likely pay for the op.
Granted, not everyone will want to damage their genitals, but for those who has the courage, the ER will definately be your friend. Just a thought...

Why take the chance when there a safer ways to accomplish this?

Judging by your answer regarding my qoute in your post, I take it as: "Why take the chance [to go to the ER]
".
What else is safer than to go to the ER?

The problem is how did it. Also it the local authorities, as if you had a friend help you, your friend could be charged. A sensationalized case would a lawyer smile specially if they put bad person in jail! These trials become a train ride to jail even if their are not guilty of anything but trying to help.

Maybe you're right, but so many guys here are afraid to go to the ER. You mention other possible problem areas but not ER. The trick is destroying one's genitals and find a good story. The ER will help.
You know, in MY case, I spun the doc that I had a cock ring on overnight. I don't know if he bought the story, but he helped me anywhay. No lawyers, police etc. The shrink came breefly, but found me sane. Just don't look like a nutcase in front of a shrink, that's all.
I found, here on the EA, that those guys who REALLY want a castration or penectomy WILL get it done, somehow. The desire is so strong that they either do it themselves or travel great distances to do it. By then, they are willing to entertain the ER. There are guys who just do not have the courage, notwithstanding, the question is how badly one wants it.
Just wondering...

There are a couple reasons that come to mind. If you went to a cutter, you probably don't want to get them in trouble. Also, if you're a very private person and this is something you do not wish to share with your family, potential for an ER visit is probably something you want to diminish as much as possible. Doctors and hospitals have a nasty habit of step 1 -provide care, step 2 - call family.

Just to many questions and then the questions from family and friends about why you were in to the ER. Also in smaller places like I live I know to many of the doctors and nurses personally. First thing they would do is lock you up so you could not hurt yourself again. Much better to recover at home, the flue you know is going around.

Once, many years before I was castrated, I had cut my scrotum open pretty deep and it was bleeding heavy and I couldn't stop it. Still, I drove an extra 12 miles to an ER where I hoped people wouldn't recognize me. The wound looked like a puncture wound and I made up some excuse about working in the garage with a tool of some sort and it slipped and went into my scrotum. The ER doctor believed me and stitched me up. However, castration would probably cause a lot more suspicion and you might end up in the psych ward. I had considered renting a room at some motel near a strange city and near an ER miles and miles from where I live, cutting off my balls and then going to the ER. That way I felt I could keep it a secret. I never did do it, but Dr. Kimmel was only an hour from me and he finished my castration for me. I do think that there's merit to what Yoda says, an ER is safer and if there are any complications you can feel comfortable knowing that you'd have good care.

I also worked at my local hospital during my time of castration. I was much more afraid to end up back there if anything went wrong. Most likely would have caused my termination since it was a rather homophobic place. Wow he is gay and now nutless we need to think of a way to get rid of him. I complained once that a nurse was telling new male employees I was gay and if they had any problem with me to come to her right away. When I complained I was told if I had anymore gay issues I would be terminated. Yes I was afraid of needing any treatment from the ER.

One time I had fainted in public. I was getting really sleepy fast, the place was crowded and I could not get to either my car or the bath in time to lie down or explain to anyone what was happening to me. It was 20below zero outside. I fainted. I was taken to the hospital. The cops made me to have to consent into going there. The ambulance was $900. The ekg was $500. (At least I know I have a very healthy heart.) And the ER for a couple hours was $850. I was told to drink plenty of water and get rested up. When the hospital releases you, you have somebody to sign for you and take you. I had to call my boss anyway. I'm saying this because the hospital is not at all cheap and you DO need to arrange for somebody to pick you up. But if you could get it done in a vehicle at a hospital parking lot with a friend standing by that'll dispose of your two little olives (so they don't try to reattach them), it might work out. It would be good to have a shrink on hand (your own personal psychiatrist) too.
As for my undersized testicles when I had them, almost nobody would remove them even though they were deformed and I took a flight out to the liberty bell to get that finally done.
