I just watched the movie "The Train" with Burt Lancaster 1964/65. It is an end of war WWII, if you have never watched this movie do so, it had me totally engrossed, its in beautiful black and white, hell of a move.

Boring!
Was this a Euro film? Beyond the topic. Euro production standards & influence?
No color in 1964? And lacking great B&W cinematography to justify the cheaper choice of B&W. No Casablanca.
The Nazis were not despicable enough.
All those wonderful steam engines, sacrificed for this film.
It must have been Euro influenced. I could feel it.
