I was wondering if anyone has seen this movie. Any thoughts, observations or recommendations?

I liked it pretty well; it was fun. It didn't have the same effect on me the original Planet of the Apes movie with Charles Heston had back in the 60s. It's not a movie I particularly want to see again when it comes out on DVD, but it was worth a day at the movies.

I"m waiting until it hits DVD or PPV or HBO or Starz

I have watched my bootleg AVI a few times, and I really like it. It's the perfect prequel, including the launch of the "lost mission" that comes back in the classic film.

On another note, it also made me want to see if Slammr wanted to work on that story idea that we had about a year ago and never did anything with!

Don't get me started about unfinished stories.

Slammr - I think it was the transgenic inspired "Monkeyboy" story. Then again, we'd be accused of ripping off the Ape movie. I remember sketching it out a few years back.
