A few days ago (6 to be exact) I started some medicines that reduce fats and cholesterol in my body. these were prescribed, so no problem about health. But, As far as 3 days, I´ve noticed an increased sex drive, and is slowly startingt to turn somewhat uncontrolable. Also, I noticed that I become angry quite easily and even my relatives (including my boyfriend) told me I was becoming "uncontrollable", rebel, and extremately horny (my boyfriend told me this). I know that the medications would decrease the fats

and the testosterone would have an higher effect on me, but never this strong.

I want to know if anybody here has a ssimilar experience with this.

The medicines are:

1: metformin (lowers glucose in bloodstream)

2: pravastatine (lowers cholesterol)

3: bezafibrate (lowers triglicerids).

BTW, this "side effect" has made me do some crazy things...

I dont even wanna remember.

Cholesterol lowering drugs are not "no problem" drugs. They can cause different reactions in different people. You need to contact your physician immediately and discuss this with him or her.

Cholesterol in the body is converted (through a complex process) ultimately to testosterone. A reduction in cholesterol should not make you hypersexual, but it could be a reaction you are having that few others experience.
