It has often been said that the Eskimos have 99 words for "snow"

If you live in Minnesota or Wisconsin, you'd discover at least 100 words for that white stuff..

Then again, that's counting all the colorful expletives :)

My words for snow are more expletive than they are descriptive (of course, I'm noted for my "colorful" language) --FLO--

I agree, like white, clean, beautiful, fluffy, then of course we have slushy, yellow, its turned to f n ice, and so on.

Me I always have love the change in seasons, then again we have four here in Wisconsin just across the border from the twin cities of Minnesota where they only have two seasons, winter and road construction.

How about winter and three months of tough sledding like Duluth?

I've never visited Minnesota, is Duluth a wee bit chilly?

Duluth is not as extreme as you might think it is. The weather there is moderated by a large body of water near the city. In summer this has the interesting result of a temperature near the lake that can be twenty degrees cooler than the temperature "on the hill".

I hate the cold but I'm bidding a project that could put me in far North Dakota for a while. I would have to be there for the coldest part of winter and we would have to prepare for -40F.

That will suck. I'm sure I will have a few names for the snow and ice for you after a winter of that and will most likely have LOTS of expletives.

This requires revenge: I suggest that I, River, Paolo, Uncle Flo, Krister, ramses and arab night move into IbPervert's house next winter :)
