Sure, they are a peaceful bunch, but you aint seen nothing till you've seen a good ol' fashioned Amish rake-fight.
I have Men-o'-"the"-nite (Mennonite) neigbors. Amish them when they're gone.

I thought the horse backfired as well!!
Not to pick on the Amish...good people...but one Sunday a year or so ago I was up in Amish country in Eastern Pa. on the bike and got to witness an Amish drag race. Teenagers in buggies dressed in Sunday best side by side pushin' those horses for all they'd go. Boys will be boys no matter what!
I didn't wait to see who won!
