Previously, my attempt to understand this same question was foiled by poor wording and the wording seemed to get more attention then the question.
I am trying to gain some understanding as to why a man who is a father and loves his wife, would choose Eunuchism.
My only guess is to 'turn off the violence' as may be "T" driven.
Thank You and I do hope there are no offensive phrases, above.

This might be a place to start understanding why someone would choose eunuchism.

There are a great many articles in the non-fiction board that will answer your question(s).
I am a father of three (identical triplets). Never married, no desire for it. I've desired eunuchism since pre-puberty - those nads didn't belong, despite their utility. It is called BIID (Body Integrity Identity Disorder).
There are of course other reasons for desiring castration, notwithstanding family situations.

regarding BIID, on previous attempts to explore members interests in
not just male genitalia, but arms and legs also; there seemed little overlap.
My fantasies also involve various amputations either myself or my partner and I do see a relationship. But, among members of the EA Nation,
apologies to Colbert.
there seemed to be little overlap and short discussion.

wording seems clumsy to me but, it is not improving
even avoiding puns about members,
After reading the above link, matching libido was most interesting.
What about the membership?
I doubt it was the result of being a conquered nation and hopefully not psychosis.

Think your question about why a father would want eunuch-ism. The same question cold just as well be a father "married" to another male. Being in love does not have to have hormones to make it work. The physically having balls can be offensive to the person. Just whats them gone. They can have no problem with hormones. Very well could go on HRT and enjoy it.
Being a eunuch it is hard for me to explain why I choose castration. It just can not be put in words. Try to explain what sight is to a blind person. Try to explain what love is to a person that has never been in love. Some things just can not be explained. It just is.

i chose it because my wife wanted a eunuch
after almost 20 years she has lived with a eunuch...she will tell you the eunuch is better than the man she lived with the first 20 years
