O.K., I know, this isn't about castration, but it does show the danger of vanity, and all of us who know women should point out to them the risks involved with vanity. http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/12/02/mo ... index.html

It just proves once again, elective surgery can be dangerous, castration is an elective surgery for most of us.

So cut your risks as much as possible and have a good Doctor do the job, not some guy you met on the internet that has a great track record of 10 or so done while you wait on the kitchen table. Even under the best conditions it can be a life and death decision.

I agree in principle, but how would one go about that?

I think the main thing is to accept that all of us have non-ideal bodies. So at some level we need to accept our desires to get rid of our genitals as similar to our other non-idealarities: overweight, too short, too hairy, weak chin, thin hair, gray hair, etc.

(And no, I'm not a fat, short, hairy, weak-chinned guy with thin, grey hair.)

Anyway, perfection in our bodies is not a wise goal and we should remember that with respect to our various self-image issues here on the Archive.
