My Dia de los Muertos

Some 7 months ago y'all may remember how Kaiser killed my best friend of over forty years.
They waited 3 months from discovering a chest tumor to surgery. Inexcusable!
His wife passed on the morning of Nov. 2 as expected due to metastatic disease.
For years I have tried to score a "sugar skull". This year as it happens I got one from my mail delivery lady.
So at midnight I lite candles, placed the sugar skull out with some foods they liked, some alcohol beverage and sat together for 40 minutes. Sharing.
Well she was on my right, he was on my left. As it was winding down I tagged where he sat and called, "last tap".
On my right I felt the tag, turned and momentarily saw Kit as she appeared at the time of their wedding, where I was best man. Not in a wedding dress but, as she looked in the late sixties. With her rascally smile.
It was a good, Dia de los Muertos.
I will do it again.
