My first meeting with my doctor this Monday Oct 19

So I had to fill a form (huge one) that took about 2 hours and have that ready to take with me on my first visit with the therapist. They asked for medications I am using and I put Siterone and Sandrena Gel down including the doses.
I am going to be 100% honest with them in all aspects. One thing that I am concerned with is what they will tell me about currently self medicating. If they tell me to stop doing that but do not offer an alternative I will have to tell them flat out that I refuse. I just can't let my T-levels go back up....ever.
I guess I am wondering if that might be enough for them to refuse to treat me. Like I said, I want to be totally honest with them and that includes telling them I will continue self medicating if I have no other option.
Thoughts would be appreciated!

Always good to be honest in most things medical. Telling what you are on and the REASONs for being on the drugs. I am assuming that you are going for counseling on gender. The therapist should be already know the desire to be castrated and how to handle such cases. You will likely be given a doctor referral that is friendly on the transgendered. If you find the therapist not to your liking go to another one. Your city should have a good number of therapists, psychiatrist, doctors to choose from

I think it great that your seeing a therapist and that your being honest. I doubt very much they will refuse to treat you but I think (and hope) that they will encourage you to do this under the care of a doctor. If nothing else you should have some regular tests done to insure your not hurting yourself. And it would be a plus to know where your labs are so that you can adjust the doses to what is best. Please make it a goal to have this done under a doctors care so your safe ok?

Before you come too clean
With the meds your prescribing to your self in some states can be considered
Practicing medicine with out a license , the dr. may have a responsibility to turn you in
I would check that out first before you tell all
I am in no way saying that, that is a fact in your case
Just check it out first

This would not be considered practicing without a license. That would only occur if one were attempting to provide care to another person without appropriate licensure.

Tell them everything, I did and continued to self medicate until I was finally castrated. I gave the doctor the paperwork that came with the drug from the drug company.

I am hoping they will prescribe me blockers and hormones but at the very least for now I am hoping they can refer me to a doctor to make sure I am okay with current levels and other things. Thanks!

Krister is right btw. Don't be afraid to tell them the truth. They can always advise you to do X Y or Z. I think its worth going in with an open mind and listen and ponder what they say. I think its quite possible (99% sure) they will be very mainstream about this and give you a safe path to transition.
