But to some...kinda deep.
This will be totally out of character for the EA, but try and get the message.
Last Saturday night I honored my pledge to attend at least one of my Alma Mater's (High School, not my U.) football games.
"My" boys, the Fighting Brahmas of Douglas MacArthur HS, played the Madison Mavericks, also of San Antonio. The Mavs came into the game ranked #2 in the state in the largest school class...5A, and Mac, also 5A, was nowhere in the rankings.
This was a District 25-5A game and very important. Still, Mac was 2-1 and had high hopes.
Well, the boys pulled off an epic upset, scoring on a last-second 83 yards touchdown play to win 34-30.
Here is a slide show from the game, and what I'd like all to reflect on is that there are still events where GOOD kids...Teams, Bands, Pep Squads, Dance teams (Like the one I was once a member of, the MacArthur Brahmadoras, and the Cheerleaders...give their all and prove that there is still hope for America's youth.
Slide #12 is quite poignant, as I believe you'll agree when you see it; A Mac player genuinely concerned for the opposing player. It was a clean and hard hit. I was there.
Enjoy or ignore but YOU lose by the latter. Trust me.
