It seems the lady is not really a lady like any other ladies.

The real problem is not Caster Semenya's sex, but the cultural paradigm that only allows for the athletic contribution of two sexes and two genders.

I don't see it as persecution because the rules ARE the rules and Caster's "condition" imparts an unfair advantage.

I feel badly for Caster and not so much as it relates to her athletic career. I'm more saddened by the poor prospects "she" has for a life enriched by a lasting marital relationship or something along that line.

May God somehow prove me wrong.

are not necessarily poor. Just from coming to this board it is apparent that there are all kinds in this world and it is simply a matter of meeting the right one.

I'm sure there are guys who would love to marry another guy with a real vagina or a woman with real, albeit internal, balls.

I would say that the best thing Caster could do now is to take up singing. With all the publicity she's got and all the interest in her, an album called "In Between Blues" would have to be a hit. She just needs a little chutzpah and a good agent.

I think Caster is what some female to male transsexuals long for, some wish to retain or keep their testicles so that they don't lose their sexual desires. However, if she has testicles and they are producing testosterone, then her feminine parts must be somewhat male in appearance. Like those of women body builders who take steroids.

That's it exactly. It's unfortunate that she fits between the rules. Hopefully this can open the door to modify the rules to allow for this kind of circumstance, for her, and others in the future.

Perhaps she may be closer to being a male as far as her testosterone levels and musculature goes that she can compete with males.
