A New Toy!

Post by FianceeUvBigGuy (imported) »

Tweeee-eeeeet...

Now hear this!

Captain Yoli speaking...

I realize that this won't be "controversial" (unless you hate boats that burn gas and the vehicles that tow them.) but I just had to show off what we've just ordered from the firm that made the boat we now have. BG is paying for it, of course but your Yoli will be Commanding Officer.

Take a looky-poo...21'5" long, 94" inch beam, and will have a 300HP on the stern. Neither of the boats shown reflect the color scheme as ordered.

http://cbrown.zenfolio.com/p978628935

The red boat alongside the Jaguar (7th pic) is the same model, "Puma", we have now...20'9" and seems tiny by comparison because of the wider beam of the front casting deck on the new model.

While I'm not too thrilled with the clamshell look of the driver's console, the setup and instrumentation is amazing, especially the built-in rear-view mirrors on either side and the side-scan imaging underwater "radar" in the center There'll be a duplicate linked unit on the bow as well.

The windshield, when installed, will conceal most of the "clam" from the front.

The primary color will be "Cream" and where you see Blue on one test boat will be Crimson in a fine-grained metallic custom ordered to match the helmets worn by The University of Oklahoma "Sooners" football team...BG's alma mater, y'see and the fine trim will be Silver. The "boot"...bottom...will be dark gray

Top speed will approach 80MPH, BTW, although ONLY in emergencies such as running from weather, going to the aid of others, or chasing down (and running over...I wish!) rude waterskiers, jetskiers, and other jerks.

Well, now to wait for at least two months for delivery...sniff.

All hands return to normal duties.

Yoli

Super duper boat Yoli! Hope you have lots of fun, but please do be careful, it looks awful fast, smoking! Patience is a virtue! Some men have waited there whole lives to be castrated and that's half the fun.

All I can say is when are you inviting the bonafide eunuchs to come with you on a cruise? :) I'd certainly accept, and arrive with beer or the beverage of your choice in-tow! :D

Wouldn't that be a sight. Female Yoli with a group of nutless guys on her boat with her. 😄

And yes, please do be careful. I'd hate to hear you jumped a rude waterskiers wake near the shoreline and end up with the situation called Boatus-treeus. Plainly put, boat in tree. 🤫

Enjoy the new toy when it arrives.

I used to hang glide in my younger years. In the depth of winter we had an awards banquet. One was the Ewell Gibbons Award for eating a tree. We also had the Coveted Swine Flew Award for landing in a hog wallow.

I think Yoli would look very good at an awards ceremony. I am sure all of her friends would turn out.

Proves that a toy like that is not necessarily a "man machine".

Have fun!

Nice bass boat, October you say? That is the time that the boats up here go into dry dock for the winter.

Gratz.

But the color is all wrong, It should be Red and Gold.

The colors of my two favorite football teams, one college the other pro.

Here's vid of the first test run of a completed BassCat Jaguar.

Here's the bad news...I can't STAND that clamshell look of the console even though the driver's panel is the best-designed I've ever seen. I'm told the windshield, when added, will improve the look but I have my doubts, so much so, in fact, that I may try to convince BG to "withdraw funding". My name is not on any contract so getting any deposit back won't be my fight.

One of my gentleman friends has tried to get the bigwigs at BassCat to make changes but they won't budge.

We've been deliriously happy with the Puma model and may opt to keep the one we have or order a new one.

It's always SOMETHING!
