God created Adam and informed him that he had given him a brain and a penis. The brain was a good gift as it allowed him to do many things. The penis was also a good thing as it allowed the race to continue. The problem was that God had only given Adam enough of blood supply so that he could only use one of them at a time.

Actually, there apparantly is an element of truth to this. I read perhaps a year ago in the Economist about a study of the energy budget of bats. The article was called Bats and Balls. It turns out that brains and balls are high energy consumers. Bats do not have a lot of extra energy given their diet. So it becomes the old game of trying to balance two needs and, in their study, the author(s?) concluded that for survival of the species it was better to be randy than brainy.
