Not sure where else to place this, so I guess here will have to do.
I've been wondering, does anyone else on this forum play dungeons and dragons? If so, what do you think of a castration mechanic for D&D? And what are you suggestions on how to do it? The book of erotic fantasy gives a harem guard prestige class which kind covers it, but not really.
Well, aside from myself, I suspect that anybody gelding a Unicorn would be made to suffer an automatic alignment shift, and there have been a few storys about gelding dragons, one gelding of a minotaur that was really unfinished or really rushed at the end, a centaur, (which was more violent than needed to be, as they blinded the poor thing too) Gelding a Pegasus may take a lot of planing to catch one first, and of course, the thought of wandering through the monster manual with a cutters eye may lead to some interesting situations.
The Giant insects will be an issue, as some of them have three sexes, most of the dinosaurs have internal testis, so you have another problem there, and of course, all the avians and avian races have them internally, too.
where the balls on a beholder might be I am not really certain I want to get close enough to find out. some things may be a public service, Castrating a male Lamia, or possibly an androsphinx, may be a good thing, but if you are that close to a chimera or a basilisk or a manticore or a Gorgon, just kill it.
cutting the nuts off an orc may be expected, and a kobold can't do much about it anyway. Ogres will regrow their lost bits, so you have a problem with that one. trolls will do that as well. Castrating an elf or dwarf may earn you enemys for life, and castrating a giant seems like a task that will take a lot of time and planning. it is suspected that the drow do this to each other, so it's not exactly a terror.
the effects of Castration on owlbears, hobgoblins and Gnolls have yet to be seen, but I am certain someone will think of something. I kinda think it would be just deserts for the Illathids, (mind flayers) they eat human brains, we cut off thier nuts.
there are some things that don't have nuts as we know them, the shriekers, shambling mounds, and gelatinous cubes for example. or a xorn.
Castrating a lizard man may be a great way to get a little leather coin pouch, but still, having them come after you is a consequence you'll have to deal with yourself.
So, in closing, I have not played in years, but I am curious how your gm would allow this, what alignments you would have to be, and how much value this would be in a melee...
keep us posted, please. I want to read about you actually nutting that catoplebas that's been terrorising the south village...
