I had an acquaintance in college die by auto-asphyxiation a few months before his wedding. It shattered his family. Only a handful of people knew the real cause. The Coroner listed the cause of death as "accidental" to spare the family.

This "masturbation" is something that men should not do. It is an avoidable accident.

I just like to remember him as Kung Fu (grasshopper).

I am inclined to let the David Carradine's death go without comment. Frankly I'm more worried about the mental state of the Carridine family lawyer Mark Geragos....

The New York Post reports Mark Geragos suggested Carradine may have been attempting to uncover groups working in the martials-arts underworld at the time of his death.

He made the claim on Larry King Live after a panel member noted Carradine was keen on following and disclosing secret societies.

"What that means is connected to martial arts and his interest in martial arts," Mr Geragos said.

“And so there is a suspicion that if there was some foul play, that that may be the first area where they should look."

Yes Mark, apparently theses deadly assassins have a secret technique where they tie a sash around the genitals of their victim and then asphyxiate them in a hotel closet.

I agree. His private life was his business and this speculation is only adding to his family's distress. I realise that his roles in "Kung Fu" were acting but I prefer to remember him as he was in this role which to me was iconic. It really bothers me that worthless show boats like Gallegos etc see fit to seek publicity by airing this equally worthless rubbish.

Let us not rush to judgement here. This may be an accident during a sex-game, it may be suicide or it may even be murder. We do not have all the facts yet, and great care must be taken before this case is dismissed as 'sex-game gone wrong'. We must remember the dreadful death of beautiful New York actress and film-maker Adrienne Shelly in November 2006. Shelly was murdered in her Manhatten apartment by an intruder who had apparently been stalking her with the intention of rape.

Her attacker (who worked in her building) wrapped a bedsheet around her neck, dragged her into the bathroom and hanged her from the shower-rail. He then calmly walked off and finished the remainder of his shift, leaving her for her family to find when they got home. For several days the death was thought to be a suicide until her husband insisted on a second forensic investigation, which found her killer's shoeprint in the bathroom. He was picked up by police and confessed in custody, though a plea-bargain to manslaughter in March 2008 agreed that his only motive in breaking in was theft and Shelly's death was 'accidental'.

I'm not saying that Carradine's death IS murder, but all possibilities must be considered and investigated.
