I was thinking of the Spencer Tracy version of Judgment at Nuremberg.
The part where the man who was forced to be castrated is being questioned. And thinking about the ladies who loose their hormones too.
Do men who loose their hormones with no replacement, experience hot flashes or emotional lability ? I could look it up. But, I'd rather her first person accounts.
Apology if I missed a thread that discusses this question.

Re: Question For The Castrated Without HRT
Oh yes, we certainly do!
I was in a motorcycle accident and got banged up pretty bad. I ended up losing both testicles, had a broken arm, broken leg, and head trauma, not to mention other bruises and abrasions. Since there were other injuries to worry about, and I was embarrassed and ashamed to ask questions all I wanted was to get out of the hospital ASAP! To make a long story short I got sent home accidentally with no HRT of any kind. By the time something was done about it I had gone over a month with no T.
I still don't know if all my symptoms were from lack of T. I definitely had hot flashes...and didn't know what they were. I was depressed, but thought it was from stress and pain. Lets just say that I never want to go through that again!
It's been 3 years, actually last week. I've healed physically and mentally, and I'm on HRT and plan to stay that way!

Re: Question For The Castrated Without HRT
I deliberately missed the dose of HRT (Nebido) that fell due in December 2008 so I could try the full eunuch experience. I don't recall suffering hot flushes or depression. I lost the ability to have erections, but also lost interest in sex so having a limp dick didn't bother me at all. I experienced the fabled "eunuch calm", and also acquired an astonishing mental clarity, which was an unexpected and welcome benefit, and probably because I wasn't thinking about sex so much! I'm certain the calm and clarity helped me through a difficult time with job and family issues in January this year. The downside was an increasing level of tiredness which scared me back to HRT in February 2009.
I plan to have another go at quitting HRT when the next dose is due in a few weeks time.
Hope that helps.
Best wishes

Thank You
Streetglide and Eunuch2001 .
Having studied neurophysiology and sexuality in both college and medical school, the observations make me wonder
A different sense of being without "T" between the voluntary Eunuch and the accident caused castration - related to pre-existing brain physiology differences. ?

Re: Question For The Castrated Without HRT
I have been with out any form of t or hrt for 1 year and 3 months
Mentally I really don’t know its not there , physically only I am reminded
Hot sweets , mussel mass disappearing , lose of being able to get fully erect
And stay erect long enough to have sex , redistribution of body fat
Happy , moor relaxed , lose of anger/temper

I started chemical castration in 2003. Castrated in 2005. So I will be coming up on my 4th year as a real eunuch and 6 if you count all the years.
Yes I got hot flashes, sweats. My mood changed greatly. My emotions changed for years. Much of what I was is gone. My personality is different now from my before time. I got osteoporosis wish is very not good. Body hair is far less. Face hair is more like when I was still a teen. Head hair is still receding. Loss of energy and muscle mass/strength.
Castration for me was a choice. I am happy with the choice. I would not take HRT unless there was a very major medical reason to do so.
Talking to many eunuch's over the years I find that guys that become an eunuch by choice have far less emotional problems. They adjust well. Guys that are castrated for someone else do not adjust well. Ones done to please their partner, master/mistress. This group often are depressed. The Final group that was castrated for medical reasons as well tend to be depressed. Also do not handle being an eunuch well. Almost always will go on HRT.
One more thing on HRT. There is a good number of guys that wanted to be castrated that end up on HRT. They just could not handle the side effects of no testosterone. Some it is the muscle others is the emotional changes. Most do take a lesser level of testosterone then a normal levels to get some castration effects.
Castration is not for most people. Many think they want it but few really have though it through. Taking chemical castration drugs will give you an idea of the effects. You need to get tested to see if you are really at castrated levels. The effects are not a true test.

It can indeed be difficut without hormones in the body.
You have to have some type of hormone to allow your body to function just depending on each person everything is diffrent.

Re: Question For The Castrated Without HRT
Hot flashes are pretty bad, especially at night. No interest in sex of any kind. I can manage an erection but don't bother as it is too much work. I do have an occasional nocturnal erection. No depression - being an eunuch was the right choice for me.
No visible loss of strength, but then I was never very muscular anyway. I can still hike over rough terrain 2 or 3 miles without feeling much fatigue.
