Mike Rowe and Castrating Lambs

I saw the episode of "Dirty Jobs" the other day and Mike Rowe was castrating lambs with his teeth. (yes, teeth)... I can't find a clip but he definitely does bite off the testicles of a lamb.

If I still had mine Mike Rowe could bite mine off. He does something for me. I even enjoyed him in that drug store commercial. He sure makes this eunuch sit up and take notice.

I crossed my legs and winced when i saw him doing that last night. I dont even have the equipment myself, but it was rough to watch.
I bet a LOT of men changed the channel during that episode.

Guys, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but he did not bite the testicles off the lambs. You grip the testicle in your teeth and pull the testicles away from the body of the lamb to tear the cords which slows the bleeding down and allows the blood to coagulate faster. They are slipery little devils and it's impossible to grab them with fingers and do the job properly.

That is just too gross... Maybe he should go get bit and see how HE likes it...

Go to that first URL I have under "He talks about it here:" and listen to the first 5 or 6 minutes. Rowe talks about SPCA and PETA and banding and how the lambs behave and what they finally do.

I to have castrated lambs this way and yes you cut the sack and pop them out and remove them with your teeth.Works very well but a bit salty this is where they get mountain oisters.
