The first new steam locomotive (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/trave ... years.html) to be built in Britain pulled into (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/ ... Cross.html) King's Cross Station, London on Saturday afternoon.

Unusually I was in the office from which we have an unparalleled view of the track between the approach tunnels and the rear of the shed (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 8&t=h&z=18). It was a lovely sight.

The locomotive is a Tornado Peppercorn class A1 (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picture ... ss-A1.html) and was pulling a train of 13 carriages including first class and dining Pullmans (http://www.orient-express.com/web/uktr/ ... riages.jsp).

I have been in that train station on my way to Harpenden and just love riding the trains in the UK.I would love to see that new steam train and if all goes well maybe this summer I will get that chance again.I here some do not like the tube but again I found it easy to get around London and enjoyed it.

Sag

Beware, I'm coming after those chickens.

Besides, chicken taste better if they're swiped out of the coop.

I'm also bringing a T-bone steak for your dog, Buddy.
