TO audibly slurp noodles is considered a compliment in certain places. In the USA it's considered impolite but I think Korea and part of China, making slurp noises is telling the host of chef you enjoy the food.

It is a very cute commercial.

I don't really understand why I am so irritated by some things, and one of those things is bad manners at the dinner table.

That said, I cannot deny that this is a really GOOD TV commercial, heck, why can't any of OUR commercials in the U.S. have some really good humor in them?

Yes. We have had a Malaysian-Chinese lodger for a little over 2 years now. At the beginning one made allowances for the differences in cultures but not to have learned, or really to have even observed, that his table manners are unacceptable to people here in all that time really annoys me; perhaps more than it should.
