Yes, it might have been a good story, I'm not really shure, since I'm not part of the intended audience. Then why did I read it? Well you see, there was a little "misunderstanding" in the markings. It was marked as "straight". Now then... COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS STRAIGHT WITH MEN TOUCHING OTHER MENS BALLS??? Ahem, that rant wasn't solely meant for zipper, this happens from time and again here, making me think both once and twice before I go to this site. My personal nickname for this place is the "Blue oyster bar" since this seems to be a gaybar that has an uncanny ability to cloak itself for straight people, putting them in "trouble". Do you have any idea what turnoff it is to read a story you think will turn you on and instead goes in a totally other direction, turning you off in all possible ways? So you might say that if one don't like it, don't read it, that is true. And I NEVER EVER open any that says gay or bi, to each his own. Its the mislabeling I have a problem with, cause if you say its straight, I expect you not to be liar! And how hard could it be? I'm a writer, and of all things involved in making a story, isn't tags about the easiest part of it all? Come on! gay even has fever letters than straight. Or is it a turnon for you and others to know that you cause turnoffs in others? Could this be due to a default tag of straight, and people sometimes just missing to fill in the tags? That is a bit more understandable, but no matter what, please fix this.
A writer? You shouldn't check your books at the door. A good writer previews his work. Most modern PC's have tools like spell-checking and grammar suggestions to help avoid a laughable posting like this.

Aside from the fact that Zipper is one of my favorites, and an inspiration to write myself; I think you missed the point.
I read that story and didn't get offended. To me, the Pawn Shop owner was no different than any other 'Merchant' examining 'goods' or in this case, the intended 'collateral'. He was no different than a "straight" Physician examining his "straight" patient. He didn't fondle the boy's genitals. He simply evaluated them, after the boy had agreed to the terms (consent).
As a gay male, that 'scene' in the story was a tiny bit disappointing,...as the thought of a lecherous old man taking advantage of a down-and-out straight-boy's bad luck would have been titillating. He didn't 'make' the boy do anything other than drop his shorts. I would have measured, recorded and contracted the 'loan' with a witness, AND made him demonstrate the 'merchandise' in front of whomever may have been in the store!
As for your suggestion that this site is only a hang-out for Gay Males, I'm sure a lot of other Members and "Visitors" took as much offense to that statement as I did. But, as you said; "To each his own".
