Silicone replacement

Curioius, does anyone know if it's possible to remove the insides of the penis completely, just leaving the skin intact and then stuffing the skin with a silicone replacement? I know that for men with severe "ED" doctors can put in silicone rods inside of the corpus spongiosum, but can they put in one big silicone penis to replace the penis itself?

I would think it depends on the weight of the silicone. That skin stretches and can break. I knew a fellow with the silicone rods and one pushed through the side of his penis and slid out of his body.

I have heard they can put in long balloons that can be pumped up with a pump located under the skin at the base of the penis. One problem with having a permanent hard on is where to keep it in your pants.

I know that most of the silicone rods are bendable and I would guess one large single rod that fills the complete penis would be bendable. I would suppose that for a large single rod you would need to remove the corpus spongiosum/cavernosum, rather than fill them with pliable rods. Does anyone know if this would be similar to a Transsexual woman's penis? They create a penis from arm grafts but what do they fill the penis with?

Interesting. This is something that would fit in well with my desires - still having a tool to pleasure a partner, but no sensation myself - assuming one could deaden the nerves in the skin covering an implant.

Penis skin has veins and arteries that start and end up in penis inner tissue. To keep skin alive you must leave certain bloodvessels intact. That could be tricky.
After my circumcision I have noticed that remaining skin has got considerably thinner and veins that were cut almost disappear close to cutting line. This is not only because remaining skin was stretched. In flaccid state the skin is much different than it was before.

You are quite right. I don't think you would find a reputable surgeon that would take on that task. The nerve bundles, arteries and veins that are needed to keep it working are just too fragile to do that.
On the other hand havind solid silicone rods instead of the balloons put in the corpus cavernosum? Possible, but it would be expensive to have someone make the silicone implants. Also you would have to walk around with a woody all day!
