Song Association

I am curious about one association that Utube made. I am the type of person that there are a very, very few songs that when I hear them, they have my total attention. Even if I were to have face time with Yoli, she's have to take second fiddle to these. There is one of these songs called "Next of Kin to the Wayward Wind" that I have never found a request station that had it (even KHOG coming to you from the mighty tower of power in Fallon, NV - Sound of pig snorting.). I just googled it and came up with it on Utube. I haven't heard that in decades. So I Googled other songs that are on my "Yoli is second fiddle" list. You know on Utube how there are other selections on the right column while you are looking at something. Well, one of my absolute favorites (including "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys, Sunday Morning Coming Down, Ghost Riders in the Sky") brought up on the right column Barry Sadler's "Green Berets." That was a song that I could not quit listening to back when I was a screwed up teenager in a screwed up time (Vietnam). I am curious how Utube made the connection from one C&W song to another song I have only heard ridiculed for decades. Anybody have an answer?

(PS. DBOY. {Don't be offended, Yoli}. There are a lot of songs like "Cotton Eyed Joe" or "I Like my Women a Little on the Tacky Side" that I'd quit the face time only to grab you to dance under the neon sun. This post is about songs that touch one's soul.)
