When theres a will theres a way!
Anyway, I've gotten into gardening, especially this summer. And Chiili obcesses about his garden/yard. It took six years to do that, the garage, decorate the home with pertinant artifacts etc. And the garden is like an amusement park packed onto my little piece of the planet earth.
So my neighbor, a welder(called me "chilli"boy the other day)emmm that used to make me so made when people called me that. Especially from someone that well, has all their stuff in working order. So we were talking about this gate, the last little project I had to build. I had created four others but needed a grand one to sit in the middle of the yard to balance out the waterfall that sits smack dab in the middle of the yard. He said he had a welder friend that does really good work. Then he said it would be about $800.00.
Well, chilli is a bit of a welder himself. I knew it would be more like $2500.00 for the scroll work, size and other details. So, the next day, chilli went for a ride on "Woody" his cruiser. On down to starbucks. (chilli has three cruisers "woody" a one speed and two matching three speeds a girls and a guys). The couple came from my latest failed relationship with a girl 16 years my junior. A guess those bikes will be put to good use when guests come over to visit little chilli and his lovely garden.
Anyway, upon returning from star-shucks. Alison, my sweet neighbor, was getting rid of a girls headboard. It was heavy with cast iron joints and just the right size for my gate. In the vast scroll work, right in the middle and sitting just below the crest, was a huge heart! Do you believe it!!!!!! A gift from god!!!!!
Perfect, chilli scores a free-bee and promptly thanks the wonderful lady for her gracious gift. So the gate was the last thing I needed to complete my garden...and a huge if not major stumbling block. (that's why it was the last project, before, well playtime) I'll I have to do is weld a few things on it for aethetics and function.
It is so hot under that hood, whew...I'm gonna be sweating bee-bees. But it's for a good cause!
I'm just suggesting a forum where eunuchs can display their art and express themselves in yet one other socially acceptable way.
