Nowhere was I attempting to justify either the teacher or Foley's priest. The purpose of my post was to say that I doubt that Foley's experience with the priest caused him to be queer or caused him to like young boys. Based on my own experience, I doubt that one such encounter changed him for life. Foley is implying, "I was sexually abused as a boy. That's why I did what I did." I seriously doubt that.

Possibly there's a difference between my experience and Foley's. Nothing the teacher did ever turned me on. I never even got a hard on. Maybe if he'd done more, it would have had some effect. I never perceived him as a threat. Now, one time, when I was twelve, a guy lured me into his car and started playing with my dick. That scared the shit out of me. I didn't know him and didn't know what he might do. Luckily, he let me go. Now, that shit should have been castrated. But even that experience had no lasting effect. Hell, I was so dumb about sex then, I didn't have any idea why the guy would want to play with my dick.

It is just that sexual relations, Gay or Straight can cause individuals, male OR female, to be taken advantage of, and that ain't right.

I don't care who people have sex with, as long as they do not exploit them. Sex should be an exercise in trust and giving, not an exercise in exploitation and taking, O.K.?
