Oh, dear me...
There is the Dr Phibes thread that was started yesterday by Dave.
And there is the comment by kristoff on that thread regarding avoiding text-speak, and the proper spelling-out of words.
Do I have a problem?
Suppose, in a thread, I find it useful to mention a "u-turn"?
To avoid text-speak, which spelled-out alternative would be most appropriate here? Given that "u-turn" fits the text-speak pattern, is, "you-turn," or is, "ewe-turn" to be preferred over "u-turn"?
Or, is it wrong to ask such questions?
