Oh, dear me...

There is the Dr Phibes thread that was started yesterday by Dave.

And there is the comment by kristoff on that thread regarding avoiding text-speak, and the proper spelling-out of words.

Do I have a problem?

Suppose, in a thread, I find it useful to mention a "u-turn"?

To avoid text-speak, which spelled-out alternative would be most appropriate here? Given that "u-turn" fits the text-speak pattern, is, "you-turn," or is, "ewe-turn" to be preferred over "u-turn"?

Or, is it wrong to ask such questions?

I believe the proper form, in this case, would be "ewe-turn".

Near the one big Mall I shop at most of the time, There are several apartment complexes and a satellite mall...

Across from the (waste of my time) smaller mall is the apartment of infamy.

The apartment complex you can see on the major lane driving out of the mall, was the scene of a scandal one year.

IT seems that one of its apartments housed a hunter, single fellow with a deer rifle.

So he got his Doe during Doe season and (of course) field dressed it and hauled it back to his apartment.

He then proceeded to use it for (what should I say) an ugly cross between bestiality and necrophilia.

I"m not sure who clued the police into the dead dear in an apartment building but the fellow admitted it and said it was soft and comfy and his way of blowing off steam. He was arrested and probably spent several weeks or months explaining himself to psychiatrists...

I try not to think about this when I drive those lanes in and out of the mall.
