I hated "Butterfly Effect".

In fact, I've given up the theater.

The last movies I saw were HP/DH2 - hated it.

Captain America - went to sleep 30 min. in

Green Hornet - beyond bad

Pirates of the Caribbean, ...Tides - no words for how bad that was.

Ah, yes, now I remember - Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Easily forgettable, though.

Please do not remind me of 'The Butterfly Effect'.... UGH...

As for GOOD SF, I'm gonna have to go back and refer to Moon. I liked District 9 as well, but have to say that Moon is one of my favourites.

I'm surprised btw, nobody's mentioned anime movies. If it's SF we're talking about surely the Ghost in the Shell franchise is one of the best.

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT was a little too creepy for me to...

I like the three Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean - escapist fun. I like escapism silliness and I liked Depp's character.

District 9 was one of those pleasantly unexpected adventures that got better as it went on.

Green Hornet - beyond bad - I agree

No way, it was great. Any show with afrikaans accent alone is worth watching =P

Me too!

I tried to suffer through it because the story plot seemed good. The execution suffered like comparing a Euro movie to a Hollywood one. Or STARZ to HBO productions.

Nine failed to deliver anything but boredom and irritation. (I'm noise sensitive).

I prefer Seven of Nine.

I can understand that. It's definitely a different take on what movies should be or look like.

DISTRICT 9 is a foreign film.

I've seen it several times and until about halfway through, it is so seemingly inattentive to any plotline that I can see where someone would leave the story. And it is heavy handed against apartheid and segregation.

I haven't seen Butterfly Effect, District 9, Green Hornet, Moon or the new Planet of the Apes movie.
