Dear Sagamore,

A few days ago I noted that there was a model railroaders' gathering here in San Antonio. It was covered on the local TV news and I did get to see a clip. Nice!

My dad was out of town at the time or he most surely would have joined the folks enjoying the displays and operating layouts. I think I'd have enjoyed it too.

I've already become a fan of radio-controlled model planes, BTW. Now that I know that there are some females who fly I might take advantage of the lessons offered by a local club. After all, I've got all this time on my hands...riiiight!

Sag--

Try panning or dredging the Klamath River some time. If you have a three inch dredge, you can sometimes make a hundred dollars a day.--usually no sizeable nuggets, though. Another place, in the spring, is the San Joaquin river, near Kernville. There are places you can pan or dredge on the river, all the way up to Johnsondale.

Sag. You might want to plan a summer trip up to the Yukon or Alaska. There are some outrageous photos of grinning guys with gold pans full of big nuggets. That is my Plan B in case the world goes totally to hell economically.

I've had some experience with things that go "BOOM", thanks to BG and those lovely tanks he coddles. What fun to sit in the Gunner's seat and faithfully follow the sequence of firing commands until I got to chirp "On the way!" and squeeze the trigger. Did it three times and then got to fire the machine gun at some man-type silhouettes. Whoop!

They smuggled me and WOBG (when she was FUBG) aboard for that and if we had been caught...Oh boy!

Running over stuff with one is fun too. Got any houses you want leveled?

I wanted to toss a grenade but they said I probably "Throw like a girl" and they wanted to survive my visit. Didn't have any on hand anyway.

Perhaps they were afraid you would pull the pin, count to five on the fingers of one hand, put the grenade between your legs and then start counting the fingers on the other hand.

Rest assured, dear Yoli, that your friends at the EA would vouch for you that you would never put a live grenade between anybody's legs.

This is interesting. Yoli, you wouldn't know what kinds of tanks he has, do you?

I know of a guy that collects things like that. It is a rich man's hobby.

Dear Worcestershire...I mean Heinz 57...I mean A-1,

We're talking tanks of the unit he commands, not a private collection.

Some folks DO have tanks, always obsolete models, they've acquired but those big guns have been made inoperable and no civilian can legally obtain live ammunition for the guns.

His current Taxpayer-provided "toys" are M1A2 "Abrams" tanks, "Bradley" Armored Fighting Vehicles, a huge tracked tank recovery vehicle, and some other goodies. The Squadron is divided into Troops which are commanded by Captains. The platoons are commanded by Lieutenants. The real backbone are the NCOs, of course.

There is an aviation component as well, including some nasty armed helicopters. Most of the pilots are Warrant Officers.

As those wacki Iraqis and some Al Qaeda types learned the hard way;

"If BG's comin', you'd best be runnin'! (But he'll get you anyway.)"

The Squadron is in the USA now...Thank God.

BG is likely to make Full Colonel any time now but he's seriously considering retirement so he'll be out of uniform as a young man with a nice pension...not that he needs it.

He wants to get back to ranching, skippering fishing charters in his big boat at the coast, and spend more time molesting WOBG, which means Ash(leigh) and I will also be molested! Yayyyyyy! Finally, a regular supply of intact:dong:, or so I assume. One can always hope.

Mind you, neither Ash(leigh) nor your loving Yoli expect to share in all their intimate moments but if past experience is any indicator then we'll be fairly frequent flyers. Also nice is his acceptance of WOBG and we two being "more than platonic friends" when he's away or otherwise not in the mix.

So, soon, we hope...Bon Temps Roulez!

On the down side, the activities of the KKK may be somewhat reduced or at least relocated unless he's out of town. While he tolerates our kink he won't want his home and grounds overrun with eunuchs, an Asian ladyboy, and the wacko females who love them.

Barry will still be welcome, so long as he doesn't get goofy and dare to touch BG other than to shake hands. As for the rest, wellllll.

Off to forage for food.

Yoli

Looking forward to our Cavalryman's retirement.
