Also, I'm hoping to earn enough points to be able to visit Minnesota. How many does it take to get in?

They allow me now, as I see, to be a "Participating Member" or maybe recognize that my member sometimes participates, as an advancement over formerly being a "Newly Active Member." My member, and this member, are happy about that.)

Actually, I do believe that's more based upon how many posts you have made, rather than your reputation level. But please, keep up the good work.

Oh, my gawd! If increasing your penis would be that easy, spamers would be out of business! ;-)

Thanks for the boost, folks!

I'd be willing to be a member of the Big Prick Club if:

• It comes with a salary

• It provides health and dental insurance

• We get autographed pix of Kristoff annointing the Dark Lord

• We get to raid IEunuch's stash of home-made beer

I know alot of sites take the reputation system too seriously, and I think that so far this site has done a good job of avoiding that. The reputation system is meant entirely for fun, and anything that happens through it should not be taken personally.

I used to belong to another site where the owner has to personally approve each reputation given, whether good or bad. She has her own set of guidelines under which she will allow either positive or negative reputation, and if she does not feel the reputation was warranted (even good can't be given for just anything - it has to be something she feels was over the top and truly deserving), she will not allow it, and may even personally give the user who gave the unwarranted reputation negative reputation.

I think the way she handles the system is ridiculous and an example of taking reputation way too seriously, and I'd hate to ever see anything like that happen here. I generally support a free and open system for things like reputation - I believe that we as adults are mature enough and civil enough to avoid causing any problems with the system, and that if any problems do arise we are capable of working through them on our own. I have never given anyone negative reputation (although I was tempted once or twice), and I don't plan on starting now. I was given negative once by someone, although no information was left as to who or why. But it is simply a part of the game, and that's what this system is - a game, and there is definitely no need to treat it as anything beyond.

I have a better reputation here than anywhere else.😄 A more positive one at least. I have never given negative points. I always took the advice of the wise elders when they said if you do not like something let it go and move on to something else. I must say I do appreciate a message as to why they liked my post. Of course do not stop giving me points just because you do not want to leave a message. I am after all an approval whore.

Your posts are some of the most informative on the board, Don. They are certainly not wasted typing, by any means!

I do not think anyone checks points at the borders. If you are referring to a MOM a general announcement will be made on whom to contact if interested. I know I am excited about the next one. They are fantabulous.
