I don't know what kind of an elastrator you've been using, but once a little green elastrator band is in place, there's no way you're going to get your finger up and under it. Impossible, unless you're using a larger less tight band. A true elastrator band has got to be cut off, there is no other way.

I have banded my balls and my penis. It took about 25 minutes for my penis to start going numb, I didn't leave my balls banded for that long, I don't want to press my luck too far and do damage to them, not yet anyway. I didn't use a bander, for I have none. I have used rope and string for the job, they work ok, but I'm sure a bander would be much better. It is super cool if I band it when it is flacid, that way most of it cannot get hard, only about an inch at the base.

As a response to various comments above I have the following to offer from personal experience as a self banding practitioner:

1. I have banded for two hours + without repercussions. I am told that 4+ hours are needed to kill the balls by an anonymous cutter who seemed knowledgeable. I got some protest from my scrotum but think it was more the pressure from the bands that overall blood deprivation. It was limited to the band area.

2. I recommend three of the green bands. One is not enough

3. The dark colour attributed to lack of oxygen is partly correct. The remainder is that blood accumulates in the scrotum (and probably also the balls) since it can leak past whatever the obstruction is but the lower pressure venous system cannot return it. Hence the swelling and darkening of the veins in yr scrotum. With enough bands your scrotum will in fact ramain pink (at least mine did).

4. More than three bands seems to make little difference I have done up to ten with the only effect a lot of hurt as I removed them one by one.

5. Most of the pain I encounter is due to pinching of the scrotum. You can control it by immersion in ice water. It eventually passes.

6. I haven't encountered testicular pain from banding with multiple bands and have been successful in totally numbing the balls and scrotum on several occasions but ached a bit with just one. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Hope this isn't getting to close to the ban line. It is intended to be helpful to others with similar interests.

I'm newto this and have tied an elastic band 3 times round my scrotum. After 10 minutes it's burning like mad and I'm sweating. Got to take it off but I've the best hard in years

This morning I tried again banding and realsed that last night I had banded only one testicle. It is less painful annd doesn't burn and no erection at all.The colour changed from white to red to purple and the scrotum got larger.

I had it on for 42 minutes.

A couple of hours later my testicles have a dull, but not unpleasant ache and lots of sticky fluid instead of the pea sized leak I've had since my prostate was removed.
