I had feared the absolute worst: I thought he joined the White House staff as Dubya's new gag writer.

I just talked to Andrew's answering machine. It begins "You have reached a cat house...." He goes on to describe his current set of agéd pussycats (he takes them in and cares for them for the local humane society). He goes on to describe himself as staff to the pussies. Vintage Andrew from a fine and funny person.

If I ever manage to actually catch him at home (a rare occurence) I'll let everyone know what he's up to.
