So what are the assessments of the winners?

The Artsy Fartsy?

Politically Correct?

Crowd Pleasers?

Am I watching? No..... Do I give a real damn? No......

One thing is for sure, it wont be the box office favorites, the people who pay money to watch there movies don't have a vote or influence any of those who vote, you can't even influence the Nun who has a vote.

Neither am I.

I found three hours of Hitler programming on History International.

For me, these movies are my James Bond and the actor I guess is Sean Connery (although I like Connery better in some of his other movies.) It's strange to think back and wonder why or what changed but stuff did.

And as they play the IN MEMORIAM, there is a Pittsburgh Connection...

Marvin Hamlisch was nearly the Pittsburgh Pops resident conductor and was much beloved by the Pittsburgh Symphony and the audiences for his warmth, generous giving of time, and music, above all the music. His music gave people pleasure.

Personal fav.

From Russia With Love 1963

AND, Sean Connery forever the "George Washington" of James Bond on the big screen.

He also seemed like the character I read of in the books. A taint of Kelt.

oops, sorry, I thought this was the James Bond thread. 😄

The original theme, used in Dr. No 1992. When did they lose it? With that "sound".

Moi

Currently about 50 miles south of Hollywood.

That's only 3.5 hours by freeway. ;)
