smoothie, I know you have this strong desire and I feel for you. Since you're castrated, why not go and get psych clearance? I did it in order to get my reroute and I got my reroute so that when it's time to remove my penis, I wouldn't have to worry about urination being a problem. Maybe you should start with this, get a psych clearance, ask for a reroute (perineal urethrostomy) first, and then just band your glans until it falls off.
I do understand the reasoning of the urologist/GRS doctor who would remove the entire penis, rather than partial penectomy. It doesn't seem natural to just cut off part of your penis, what's the purpose of doing that? It's more natural to remove the whole offending organ, especially to a GRS surgeon.
There is more to banding than just banding and letting it fall of. You have to make the banded item hostile to bacteria. As an bacterial infection can cross the band.

Still Searching for Glansectomy.
Let's just float this desire for Glansectomy out there again and see if some new information pops up on a safe and sane way to get it done. I prefer an ambulatory surgery center with local anesthesia. I know it is not a necessary surgery, so I suspect plastic surgeon or transgender friendly surgeon is most likely source. Feedback appreciated.

I cut through 75 percent of the distance between my glans and shaft (see my photos on the tribe).I Cut from the bottom up just under the rim of my glans and along the rim to separate most of my glans from my shaft. This meant actually cutting through the tops of my cavernosa because they extend into the glans. I did this by cutting a little each day for a week in order to control bleeding. So in less than two weeks using this method one could completely remove the entire glans.
