On my birthday a couple of weeks ago, River accused me of being erudite. Our dear friend Jesus, one of the kindest men I know, is the genuinely erudite poster here on EA. Long may his knowledge of odd facts and (nearly) useless information thrive. I know of no one whose posts I look forward to more.

Happy belated, Jesus, may there be many more.

Thank you, all. It's been a wonderful three day celebration. The entire family gathered for a LONG celebratory dinner on Thursday night. On Friday (my actual birthday) my daughter and son-in-law took me to a spectacular lunch, after which son-in-law went off to work and I drove daughter to the airport for a trip to Boston. That night my wife and I had a pleasant meal over a bottle of outstanding wine. Today one of my good friends from graduate school and his wife showed up to spent a wonderful day. It's been one of my best birthday's ever....

Some things only get better with age.

My sincere and best wishes (sorry I am late!) for a happy birthday and many, many more to come.
