Remember that May 5th (5/5) is also Boys' Day in Japan – a day to celebrate all boys. March 3rd (3/3) is Girls' Day and July 7 (7/7) is Tanabata – the festival of a great love story between a boy and a girl. 1/1 is, of course, New Year.
