smootie36,
I doubt you'll be able to find a qualified doctor/surgeon to do this surgery here in the U.S. In Thailand, Philippines, India, all you need to do is have the money and ask. Money talks in the Far East, in fact, they'll do almost anything if you've got the money. There's a guy on yahoo.groups who went to Malaysia or Maynamar? and paid to have his penis removed including the roots, his testicles and scrotum. He just has a hole. You might look up nuderthannude on this site, he has slowly removed his glans until it's only attached by a small amount of skin.

When I cut under my glans I did small cuts each morning over a period of roughly a week per side. ( I had a vertical shaft piercing dividing the glans) I did the cuts in the morning to give the bleeding a chance to stop before the end of the day. Because the rounded end of the shaft extends past the rim where I cut I cut through the erectile tissue of the shaft. At one point (on each side) I cut through an artery as blood sprayed out in a stream. Direct pressure for about 5 minutes stopped it but I had to be careful because if I disturbed the clot it bled a lot again for a bit. Eventually it healed closed.
I have read from a reliable medical source that death from blood loss when the penis is cut off is rare. I believe the arteries contract some when cut through. Yeah there will be a lot of blood loss but pressure or compression will stop it and allow for clotting. The trick is to keep it from restarting by not disturbing the clot until enough healing takes place. I know an individual who cut his penis off and waited till the next morning to go to the ER and get stitches.

Hash,
You're a braver man than I. The process you described is beyond my comfort level for sure. I keep checking around and asking and hope something works out. I will ask my plastic surgeon in early Decemer when I am there next.

smoothie36,
I'm not that brave, the process I described was completed by nuderthannude.

Had my appointment with my psychologist last night. She said she thinks I'm sane or at least my request for my perineal urethostomy (might be mis-spelled) isn't crazy. She's going to fax her findings to my urologist tomorrow. We talked about castration, being a eunuch, body modification, removal of testosterone and my being happy to be a eunuch, she was intrigued and asked lots of questions. She was interested in what it was like to be castrated and I told her that after I was castrated, my personality actually changed. That I became less angry, more calm, more emotional, etc. This is a psychologist who had published the following articles: Sex offender treatment in New Jersey’s incarcerated settings and Assessment and treatment of adult sex offenders, New Jersey Psychologist. I told her that being castrated was one of the best things to happen to me. I wonder if she'll ever use this in any upcoming article? She also asked a lot of questions about body modification, seemed very interested. She asked for an example and so I told her about subincisions and that made her grimace. I told her about men who castate themselves or have others castrate them. I even mentioned this website and I wonder if she took a look or if she will. She didn't realize that there is a eunuch community of men who want to be castrated and have been castrated. It was compelling to her.
She also talked about arousal and wanted to know what might arouse me. I thought this a little strange but I told her that because I'm castrated nothing arouses me sexually. She sat back in her chair. I said, "Once you're castrated there's no motivation or stimulus for arousal" or something like that. I don't think she could fully understand that and if you're not castrated, maybe that is hard to comprehend. I wish I would have taped my session with her, but I didn't. It's hard to remember all that we discussed. It was kind of uplifting for me to talk to a woman about being castrated, being a eunuch and as I said, she was intrigued by my condition. We did talk about hormones a lot too. Well, if I think about anything else, I'll add it. I'm anticipating hearing from my urologist and getting my operation. I have about 1/3 of my scrotum remaining and would like it all removed, but I'm afraid to ask because I don't want to jeopardize her willingness to do my operation, but I probably will. I'd like to be completely smooth down below.

Congratulations on finding a psychologist that is open minded. I will have to look up her published articles.
Good luck, I hope this satisfies your urologist.

This is something I'm wondering about myself, it appears that my Urologist didn't remove too much of the cord at all and they have moved back down in to the scrotum, I'm wondering if they will atrophy? When I was at the Urologist I neglected to ask him if they would.
Ken
Ken, when my testicles were removed they were taken off close the point where the cord attached. You will be able to feel your spermatic cords up inside your scrotum, but they will likely not hang down in your scrotum but sit up closer to the base of your penis. you should be able to feel for them if you wish, but I've not had much in the way of problems with this. I think the past 6 years since my castration I've only had very minor issues once or twice, and those were feeling a slight jab when I was erect at "half mast" I think the cord or cords in those cases simply got a bit pinched against other tissues inside next the firmer tissues of my penis due to the partial erection.
So far, it's not been a problem I've felt needs to be addressed and I simply readjust myself and the pain ends instantly.
That's my experience, yours may be different.

A phenomenon that I quickly noticed was the inability to have involuntary or voluntary sexual dreams at night, which normally would stimulate me. On the rare occasions that my wife and I decide to have sex, there is no anticipation of it. Today is more of a matter of fact thing to do and to enjoy for the moment and then to forget about. There's no more thinking of when I had sex last and planning when will I have it again. Like Hash, I do enjoy speaking about my lack of being able to become sexually aroused, without manual stimulation, with a female (my wife), who is appreciative of the change. Being a female, my wife doesn't fully understand the driving force that sex normally is to a male so my significantly reduced libido is more normal for her.

When and if my urologist now agrees to do my perineal urethrostomy, I'd like to seal off the forward part of my urethra since no fluid will be coming out of it. I'm wondering if the urethra above the perineal urethrostomy will close up or if I can fill it up with medical grade silicone and then stitch the tip close? My glans was split in half and apparently from what I was told, it would be a very difficult operation to reverse what I had done. Irregardless, I'd still like to have the glans sewn shut, but I guess it wouldn't ever heal. Then I'm wondering since there won't be any fluid coming out of the tip ever again, why it wouldn't dry out the unused urethra and then collapse?

The urethra will not close up on it's own after a urethral reroute. I had hoped for the same but realized it wasn't happening after I did my reroute. I closed off my unused part by putting hair remover on a Q-tip and inserted it into my urethra to remove the inner layer of skin. I then used a brass 22 caliber rifle cleaning brush to scrape the inside. Surprisingly it wasn't very painful. I had to repeat that 3 times as each time it healed the opening was smaller until the last time it healed closed completely. You can see some photos here
