Experiences? First, lesser tolerance to background music at work.
Second - I clearly remember clicking through playlist with a scowl, along the lines - nothing pleases... On the other hand some music gave unexpectedly strong emotional response. As for listening music very loud, I have done that rarely even before chemical castration (city apartment, thin walls and so on). I am not cruel enough to enforce my music tastes on cat and neighbors.
Hope that answers the questions. I haven't thought of that as important at the time, so I am gathering memories by bits and pieces.
