Sounds great. I use VLC Media Player with similar results. I get downloads from Vuze, and the Community always warns against installing those proprietary codecs that are required to play some items. A good media player should handle just about anything.

Its a remarkably small pack, under 4.5mb, I have yet to find any spyware or malware in it, and once it's in you can play just about anything under the sun. It's now one of the first things I install on every computer I own, after a fresh install. (That, and a decent media player so I don't have to use the built-in Windows one.)

And when you get to my house later this month I would love for you to install this on my PC. :D

Heres a couple of sites that I use, free of course, stagevu.com and veoh.com

Both are great.

Thanks for the tip on veoh.com..Went there to happily find 72 episodes of Married with Children..Yippee!

Also agree with the VLC player being super. BTW there is a new version just released.

Would also like to put in a good word for the KMPlayer. Excellent and free.

Both KM and VLC come with their own codec pacs. Have never found a file yet that at least one of these 2 players can't handle.

Avoid anything Microsoft connected such as the Windows Media Player and the most horrendous place on Earth, Internet Explorer.

With Vuze.com and these 2 players the world is truely at your fingertips. Just remember to Pay it Forward by being a good seeder.

If you use Firefox with ad block, turn off all Microsoft updates, avast anti virus pro, advanced system care free version and occasionally super anti spy ware free version you should be pretty safe even in this day and age.

One last site deserves honorable mention. channelsurfing.net. Great site for worldwide and USA events. When football time returns you will find every NFL game there. Offshore of course.

Enjoy.

Agree with all this, except "turn off all Microsoft updates." Don't know why you'd say this. These updates are absolutely essential. Avoid updates of other companies' software offered by Microsoft, but you need their updates of their own software. Otherwise, you set yourself up for system instability and insecurity.

Well it's because I have two family members that work for Microsoft up there in Washington.

If you had a better idea what very personal data MS is shoveling into and out of your machine with their 'updates' you would likely turn them off too.

There are many many companies and agencies paying big money to MS to get every tidbit they can on us all.

And I am not just talking about Homeland Security.

My W7 Ultimate has never been open to MS and it continues to work fine and dandy with no updates.

Indications are that when W7 Service Pack 1 is released it will contain and install a blizzard of MS data mining bots on every computer that lets it in.

Your choice.
