I looked mostly because I remember leaving LA for a field trip on break in 1967. We got as far as Flagstaff by following a snowplow. The next morning our driver's Mustang was a slight bump in the snow. 66 inches. I heard that it snowed in Long Beach during that storm.

Of course I am just being pissy searching for the extreme exception that does prove the rule as stated by Wolfie.
