Yoli here,

I guess I could contribute some raw materials.

In fact, in order to go Green my next Sybian will be hybrid powered🙄

On the other hand, the 250HP Yamaha on the bassboat will burn over 13 gallons per hour at full throttle (pushing 80 MPH) and you don't want to know what the rate is to tow it, especially in our hilly environs. (Think 11-12 MPH)

In truth, however, I almost always cruise at 2/3 power on the water = about 55-60 MPH and that brings the burn rate to about 9 GPH under average conditions. There's an instrument on the panel that tells me the data as I skip merrily over waves and waterskiers.

I do give it all she's got under certain circumstances but that's not a common thing. Most often that will occur when we're testing after engine maintenance or when testing a new specially tuned propeller. THOSE have to be tested at all power settings 'cause they cost between 700 and 1000 bux.

Whatever happened to paddles?

Who cares? I don't remember babes like this paddling around the mountain lake at Boy Scout camp.

And to think my idea of a good time on the water is being in a Kayak or Canoe. It may be true that you can go 60 but can you do a barrel roll??? go over rapids??? take on the white water???

The real question is, do you ware your life jacket???

...and sleeping under a canoe is also possible. Just prop one end open with your oars, cover with a tarp and waammmmmmmmmmooooo instant shelter!

I know...I know...you can thank me later for that one.;)

and if it really starts raining hard you can flip your canoe over and keep that storm off you or pick it up and take it the 100 ft to the next lake, try that in a bass boat.

Yoli here, having recently tottered in after a dove hunt and post-hunt toddy (or three...or four.)

Dearest River and/or C.Willi (By the way, may I see your willi? I've seen River's and it's adorable!)

60??? As I stated, The Beast will approach 80 with only me, half-full fuel tanks, and a light "tournament load" of tackle and snacks on board. As also stated I don't do that save on rare occasions.

Life jacket? I never, ever, start the motor without having a PFD on AND the kill switch attached to self. In cold weather I wear standard vest (warmer!) and in warm weather I wear a Mustang auto-inflating one; Much more comfy and if I hit the water...POOF!...it inflates as if by magic.

Shelter? Well, if the boat's on the trailer I can seek refuge under it or put on the custom-fitted waterproof boat cover and cower beneath that. And...the long rod boxes on either side of the casting deck will accommodate one Yoli apiece if the rods or other gear are removed...WITH the lid closed! They will accept rods over 7' in length and I'm nowhere near that. I have to lie on my side but it's rather comfy if a bit claustrophobic.

Wait! Why not, when the Beast is on the trailer, just hop into the tow vehicle and stretch out?

I do like canoes and 'yaks, however, and enjoy fishing from one point to the other on the Guadalupe and other Texiz rivers. In fact, I plan to purchase a Hobie Mirage kayak, the one that you PEDAL or paddle and steer with a little tiller lever. Have you seen them? After I post this I'll find a link and return to update with same.

Yoli

Who wishes to make it clear that she was only privileged to see River's eePeeP (Darn that Dyslexia!) via the internet rather than in person:(.

Delighted just the same to have found that in the original FUBG's "files".

UPDATE! Here's the Hobie Mirage. I've test-pedaled one and it's FAST and fun.

Dear sweetest Yoli-

While I know River is a great guy, perhaps older and wiser, I think I may have him beat, so I will give my best shot. Before I send a picture, a bit about myself. Maybe I can win an award for that!🙄

I'm above average, near 7. My father was a monster, extreme in everyway. So much so, he had to get special clothing. I have nothing to hide and lean slightly to the left. The twins still hang out, and I've already told you about the asshole next door.

I need ME one of those. I have a popular river for rafters and tubers in my own backyard.

I guess you could fix it up with a sex toy so that the wave action get's you going and then the rapids totally get you off. And then you duck (quack, quack) behind an eddie and catch you're breath. There is another cold river (the're all cold here) aways from here that has hot springs in some of the eddies behind the rocks. How can I stay in the just above freezing river from snowmelt for so long? Ah... The answer is in the eddies.

Seems you sent the original FUBG an Email with a pic of your post-snip "vacancy" and your darling eePeeP...NOT AGAIN!...sneaked into the frame.

Since I cannot Email re EA I guess I won't be seeing updated material...Sniffle.

Y.
