I still like the cartoon in the wonderful (alas, no longerbeing produced) "Far Side" cartoons by Gary Larson in which a dog sitting in a parked car says snarkily to another dog "well, my master is going to take me ot the vet to have me tutored."

I have two cats , Othello and Proteus, I am more like there servant than there owner. Although they very loving as they are 15 this summer, ( 75 in cat years) I refer to them as my boys, and all three of us are neutered.

Does your friend meow loudly at you when he wants you to feed him, play with him, open doors or windows, etc? If you are asleep, and he wants something from you, does he wake you up?

I saw that on CNN. They also showed a video of a real cat who did the same thing to its human except for the baseball bat.

Two black cats have I. One I call "Left Behind" since my neighbor had to leave and could not take him with her. It's also his personality. --So sweet. She called him "midnight". He's also big and fat with gold eyes and very laid back. And then there is the cat that adopted me somehow. She was the runt of a litter of feral kittens in the woods behind my place. She's very small and has a Siamese mix in her. --Very posessive. She lives inside and the other one outside usually but not always. Her I call "Right Upfront" since that is her personality. She has green eyes and would be the one in the above film. Somehow they know when you are just snoozing. But usually she looks straight at me in the morning when I'm stirring to get up and simply says, "meow" and that's it.
Oh yes and they are both fixed.
