This is so well stated. I think for almost any serious medical treatment what you say holds true. There are such a range of doctors and abilities. Some are just murder... I don't know if they were awake during all the classes at Medical school or what. Others are superb. Having had both it was more then amazing when I had my first "good" doctor. It also ruined me for seeing the duds...

I think that you have to be upfront and maybe even a bit pushy if you know what your talking about and are not getting the treatment you think you need. Even if your wrong or deluded at least the doctor can say "ok, I understand what your getting at. Here is why I'm not doing AB or C" Then you can either vote with your feet (Leave) or try to work it out.
