Beers, generally, are my favorite. Sometimes tasty shots (ie: Slippery Nipple) are nice also.

My choice for a stimulant would be Newcastle Brown Ale, Fat Tire or any beer made by Unibroue. I don't drink wine but my hard stuff would be Gin and Tonic on the rocks made with Bombay Sapphire

I drink relatively little but when I do:

Wine, especially the heavier Italian and southern French reds. Californian Zinfandels go down well. Very dry whites and in small amounts sweet desert wines.

Calvados, brandy and Armagnac, the better single malt whiskies, especially the smoky Western Isles ones.

Beer if it's good beer, in tasting quantities only, I long ago lost the capacity for beer nights.
